Sheriff’s Report

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity:

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS:

10/20/2023:
A juvenile from Versailles was on Il 107 @ CR815E and swerved to avoid a deer, left
the roadway, and struck the embankment. No injuries were reported and damage to
the vehicles was over $1500.00.

10/27/2023:
Zachary T. Gallette, El Dorado Springs, Missouri was traveling southbound on IL
99 @ 4 th St. in Versailles and was struck by a vehicle operated by Melanie Brunson,
Mt. Sterling who was attempting to turn east. No injuries were reported and
damage to the vehicles was over $1500.00.

10/30/2023:
Christopher Henzler, Lewiston struck a deer on US 24. No injuries were reported
and damage to the vehicles was over $1500.00.

Anthony J. Meister, Jacksonville: Speeding 72/55 MPH Zone.

10/29/2023:
Preston T. Story, Greers Ferry AR: Speeding 77/55 MPH Zone.

10/30/2023:
Brady T. Wingerter, Quincy: Speeding 79/55 MPH Zone
