Sheriff’s Report

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity:

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS:

Unless stated, no injuries were reported and damage to the vehicle was over $1500.00.

05/15/2025:

A minor from Versailles was traveling on CR 900E and pulled onto IL 99 in front of a vehicle operated by Lauran H. Golliher of Mt. Sterling. Golliher then struck the passenger side of the vehicle operated by the minor.

Joseph L. McDonald of Versailles struck a deer on CR 1800E.

05/17/2025:

Fred A. Estimable, Beardstown struck a deer on US 24/Ripley.

Carrie S. Laning, Versailles struck a deer on Il 99.
