Sheriff’s Report

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity:

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS:

Unless stated, no injuries were reported and damage to the vehicle was over $1500.00.

07/08/2025:

Haley E. Boyd, Mt. Sterling, was traveling on Cr 985N, left the roadway and struck a culvert, the vehicle overturned.

07/11/2025:

A juvenile from Quincy, was travelling on 1250N, left the roadway and struck culvert, the vehicle overturned.

07/14/2025:

Eric Wilson, Versailles was traveling on CR 1465E, and struck a vehicle driving North bound on Rt. 99 driven by Donna J. Lawrence of East Alton, Illinois.

Christopher B. Smith, Jacksonville; operating uninsured vehicle.

07/11/2025:

Chancler E. Tracy, Springfield; Speeding 43/25 MPH Zone.

Riley K. Flowers, Virden; Speeding 92/55 MPH Zone.

07/13/2025:

Doris Martinez, Beardstown; Operating vehicle with suspended registration.
