Sheriff’s Report

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity:

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS:

Unless stated, no injuries were reported and damage to the vehicle was over $1500.00.

09/25/2025:

Robert F. Kassing, Mt. Sterling was attempting to turn off US 24 into a field entrance and was rear-ended by a vehicle operated by Nathan M. Theis, Mt. Sterling.

09/26/2025:

Deborah G. Davidson, Versailles; was traveling on IL 99, following a slow-moving farm implement. Miss Davidson then attempted to turn left and was struck by a vehicle operated by Michael G. Nelson, Jacksonville as he attempted to pass her and the farm implement.

09/27/2025:

Shawn M. Jackson, Albion; struck a deer on IL 99/CR 1525N.
