Sheriff’s Report

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity:

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS:

Unless stated, no injuries were reported and damage to the vehicle was over $1500.00.

11/16/2025:

Alison L. Perry, Timewell; struck a deer on US 24/CR 300E.

11/17/2025:

Dale L. Neff, Jacksonville; struck a deer on IL 99/1-mile South Versailles.

11/20/2025:

Garrick W. Dodds, Mt. Sterling was traveling eastbound on US 24 and was pulling into his residence when a vehicle operated by a Juvenile from Mt. Sterling failed to yield and struck another vehicle in the rearend operated by a Juvenile from Macomb, who was yielding to Mr. Dodds, causing the Juvenile from Macomb vehicle to impact the vehicle operated by Mr. Dodds. Resulting in damage to all three vehicles. The juvenile from Mt. Sterling received a citation for failure to yield.
