Sheriff’s Report

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity:

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS:

Unless stated, no injuries were reported and damage tocthe vehicle was over $1500.00.

1/08/2024:
Krista Taylor, Mt. Sterling: Was traveling Eastbound on 550N and met a vehicle that was traveling westbound in the center of 550N. She swerved to miss vehicle and ran off the roadway.

01/10/2024:
A vehicle operated by James E. Esela, Mt. Sterling was traveling Westbound on US 24 approximately ½ mile west of CR 1050N Ave, when he lost control of his vehicle crossing into the Eastbound land striking a vehicle operated by Kathryn A. Daniel, Clayton. Both Esela, Daniel and a passenger, Maryann Follin, Springfield were transported via EMS to Blessing Hospital.

1/11/2024:
Timmy R. Dejaynes, Milton: Dejaynes was at the intersection of Il 99 and RT 107, he then pulled out onto RT 107 and was struck in the front driver’s side by a vehicle operated by Edward F. Lenover, Versailles who was travelling southbound on IL 99.
