Sheriff’s Report

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity:

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS:

Unless stated, no injuries were reported and damage to the vehicle was over $1500.00.

1/23/2024:
Mya Ketterman, Pearl was traveling on IL 107E, left the roadway due to inclement weather conditions coming to rest on its side.

CITATIONS

01/22/2024:
Brayden J. Roberts, White Hall: Operating vehicle with suspended registration, operating uninsured vehicle.

01/25/2024:
Joel Reyes, Plainfield: Speeding 85/ 55 MPH Zone.

On 01/22/2024 a 75 year old male from Versailles with attacked by two dogs in Versailles at a residence. He was transported to the hospital with series injuries. The dog’s owner is cooperating with the Sheriff’s Office and the dogs were quarantined immediately at the Mt. Sterling Vet Clinic for 10 days. The Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident, and all reports will be forwarded to the States Attorney for consideration of Criminal charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
