Sheriff’s Report

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity:

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS:

Unless stated, no injuries were reported and damage to the vehicle was over $1500.00.

03/22/2024:
A state IDOT truck operated by Richard L. Johnston, Fowler was stopped on Il 107 to remove debris in the roadway. Johnston then placed the vehicle in reverse
striking a vehicle operated by Hugh W. Clark, Onley.

03/24/2024:
John M. Pruden, Versailles: was traveling on CR 980N, lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway coming to rest on its top. Mr. Pruden was transported to
Culbertson Memorial Hospital by EMS.

CRIMINAL ARRESTS:

Samuel R. Mayer, Mt. Sterling: Aggravated Domestic Battery, Home Invasion. Confined in the Schuyler County Jail – No Bond.
